In the November Ozark Letter, I did not mention Veterans Day and so now, to every man and woman who has
put on the uniform and stood in harm’s way to safeguard the freedoms we so often take for granted in this great
land, I extend a special “thank you”. Because of veterans, even in the midst of this economic downturn and insta-
bility, we still live in a nation where we can freely get in our car, drive to the grocery store or a public event with-
out passing through checkpoints.
We have the right to express our opinions, to possess firearms, to peacefully assemble, to petition our govern-
ment, to vote, to worship, to own our own house, to work and raise our children. Despite its problems, America
is not such a bad place in which to live. Veterans, you have paid a debt which we can never hope to repay.

Have you been watching the news lately? While most of the world has been following the American presidential race,
events have been occurring behind the scenes at an alarming rate that show we are closer to the End of the Age than some
might think. Prophecy is marching swiftly onward, and if we are not watching, we will be caught off guard by End-Time
events – the very same events long ago prophesied by Lord Jesus, Daniel, John and others. Our Bible is filled with warnings
about what is to come. God does not leave us in the dark about future events – if we have eyes that see and ears that hear.
The period of future history surrounding the Advent of Christ the Bible calls The Day of the Lord. This is the time when
God intervenes in the affairs of men. If He didn’t, we would all die. “And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would
be saved;” Matthew 24:22 NKJV
The prophets describe a time of great destruction and torment soon to descend upon the world scene. “Blow ye the trumpet
in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the LORD
cometh, for it is nigh at hand; A day of darkness and of gloominess, a day of clouds and of thick darkness, as the morning
spread upon the mountains:” Joel 2:1-2 KJV “Howl ye; for the day of the LORD is at hand; it shall come as a destruction
from the Almighty.” Isa 13:6 KJV
Many Christians picture the day of Jesus’ return something like this: When God sends Jesus to this earth once again – we
are all going to be “dressed in white”, “holding our Bibles”, “standing on the roof tops, singing hymns”. It seems hard to
believe that the whole world would not be ready to welcome Him with open arms.
BUT, The Truth is that Jesus is bringing with Him God’s wrath, destruction and judgment upon the wicked. Page 2 The Ozark Newslet ter Volume XI I , Issue 12
“And out of his mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of
iron: and he treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh
a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.” Rev 19:15-16 KJV
Far from welcoming Him, the armies of this world will gather to FIGHT HIM! “And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs
come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet. For they
are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them
to the battle of that great day of God Almighty. Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watches, and keeps his gar-
ments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame. And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue
Armageddon.” Rev 16:13-16 KJV
But just before Jesus comes back, a world-ruling system will come about to enslave the peoples of this world and persecute
the Saints. This system is nothing less than Satan’s final counterfeit of the real Kingdom of God and this system’s leader – a
false Savior. This system is called “The Beast” in the Book of Revelation, written by the last Apostle to die during the 1st
Century Church Era – John Boanerges. Mark 3:17
The apostle John was allowed to see the future events surrounding the Day of the Lord from the vantage point of the Throne
of God. He wrote down what he saw in this vision. “I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and
in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony
of Jesus Christ. I was in the Spirit on the Lord’s day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet, Saying, I am Al-
pha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What thou seest, write in a book.” Rev 1:9-11 KJV
John’s writings in the book of Revelation fill in many details about the Day of the Lord that we do not find in other prophe-
cies.
I want to point out several very interesting passages in Revelation and let you draw your own conclusions about their rele-
vance in the light of world events happening right now as I write this letter.
This end-time system and its leader will be empowered by Satan himself: “The dragon gave him his power, his throne, and
great authority.” Rev. 13:2-3 NKJV
This final counterfeit world system will control world trade and world finances: “He causes all, both small and great, rich
and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, and that no one may buy or sell except
one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.” 10 Rev 13:16-17 NKJV
This means that if you do not become part of this system you will be left out in the cold.
All the world will fall under the sway of this false system and its leader: “And authority was given him over every tribe,
tongue, and nation.” Rev. 13:7-8 NKJV
Many in the world will believe that this system and its leader is the answer to all the world’s problems: “And all the world
marveled and followed the beast.” Rev. 13:3-4 NKJV
But they will be deceived and become enslaved to this false system. You too will be deceived unless you stay faithful to
God and believe the words of His prophets. “…if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or, ‘Look, He is there!’ do
not believe it. For false christs and false prophets will rise and show signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the
elect. But take heed; see, I have told you all things beforehand.” Mark 13:21-23 NKJV
Yes, take heed!! And watch what is taking place – almost unnoticed – in the world’s financial arena. The governments of
the United States, Britain, and Europe are bailing out their financial institutions. But how are they doing it? In many cases,
these governments are buying controlling interest in their countries’ banks!
Many of these government leaders are now talking about creating a “new world banking order”!!
World leaders are ready to make changes to the way the world’s financial system operates. On October 16, European lead-
ers from 27 countries met in Brussels to discuss a new economic world order: “Europe’s leaders want to see a new global
financial system emerge” (“Seeking an end to the madness”, Economist.com)
I came across a very significant article in a recent copy of one of Bangkok’s English language newspapers entitled “CHINA
EMERGING AS NEW POWER” (The Nation. November 4, 2008, page 12A).
Here are some quotes from that article:
“Are the days of the dollar as a currency reserve numbered?
“With US financial institutions seeking bail-outs with the federal government’s money, New York is losing its shine as the
world’s financial centre. And along with the precipitate fall of New York, the US dollar is also losing its status as the de-
facto international reserve currency.
“Last Tuesday, three days after the Asia-Europe Summit (Asem) in Beijing, Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao headed to Russia
on an official visit, where he shared strong misgivings about the US with Russian leaders.
“Wen raised two important points: developing countries should have a stronger say in a new financial system; and the
global currency system should be diversified, a tactical way of saying the dollar’s role as anchor of the world’s reserve-
currency system would have to diminish.” IBID
America’s days as the world’s financial center are clearly numbered as the U.S. dollar loses international support. And yet
America is leading the world toward some sort of global financial entity that will control all financial institutions in the
world and probably create a single world currency.
“Bush, French President Nicolas Sarkozy and European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso, who met at the Camp
David, Md., presidential retreat last week, announced the series of summits, saying the international community needs to
work together to address the credit crisis that has shaken markets around the globe.”(Cbs5.com, Oct.22,2008 Bush, “World
Leaders To Discuss Financial Crisis” )
This proposed global summit which took place on Saturday, October 18th (the day I gave my Feast Sermon) has been de-
scribed as the starting point for a new “Bretton Woods” where the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund were
created.
Will we soon see a new world financial order and in all probability a single world currency suddenly come on the scene
with the blessings of the U.S. president and the leaders of the western world.
What I hear happening in world news sounds all too much like the words that John wrote in the Book of Revelation.
I believe the prophesied Day of the Lord is fast approaching – perhaps even upon us. Are we ready?
“But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you. For yourselves know perfectly that the
day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh
upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that
day should overtake you as a thief. Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor
of darkness. Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober. For they that sleep, sleep in the night;
and they that be drunken are drunken in the night. But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of
faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.” 1 Thess 5:1-8 KJV
