Obsessions, possessions and distractions…
On this National Day of Prayer, I hope I can be more prayerful that I give up my own will and submit unto His will in all matters and in every decision in my life.
Have you noticed this obsession with cleansing? This obsession with self-cleaning is not a new thing. The “new-age” crowd likes to promote that you are your own salvation and this is all very new. Taking matters into their own hands and actually falling for the oldest original sin, the lie of the devil that told us from the begin to defy God, that there are no consequences for this defiance and that we will surely not die!
Gen 3:1-4 ESV
Now the serpent was more crafty than any other beast of the field that the Lord God had made. Can all of this obession with cleansing be because we are indeed dirty and filthy? How can we satisfy this insatiable need to get clean? Let me suggest setting your focus outward to the purpose that God has for us. Getting to know your savior Jesus (Yeshua Ha’Mashiach), the son of the God of Israel, Isaac and Jacob. For He has known from the beginning how we will need cleansing, grace and pardon:
