May Greetings: You shall also count for yourselves from the day after the Sabbath, from the day when you brought in the sheaf of the wave offering: there shall be seven complete Sabbaths. You shall count fifty days to the day after the seventh Sabbath, then you shall present a new grain offering to the Lord. ….On this same day you shall make a proclamation as well; you are to have a holy convocation. You shall do no laborious work. It is to be a perpetual statue in all your dwelling places throughout your generations. (Lev 23:15-16&21) And from the New Testament, And when the day of Pentecost had come, they were all together in one place. (Acts 2:1)

Mother’s Day is Sunday, May 10th. When I worked as a telephone operator that was our heaviest ‘call’ day of the year and would you believe that most of those calls were placed as collect calls. We send wishes to mothers everywhere, that you’ll have a very Happy Mother’s Day! Memorial Day will be observed on Monday, May 25th. Many of us will be paying a visit to the final resting places of our loved ones. Until 1971, this day was referred to as “Decoration Day” and was observed every year on May 30th. The day is now one of those which is observed on a Monday, allowing a long weekend. Please reserve some time in memory of those members of our family that are no longer with us. Of course, this is also an occasion to honor the men and women who have fought in our nation’s wars – many of whom gave their lives. It is also a good time to display the flag.
MMCG will observe Pentecost on Sunday, May 31. The service will begin at 11:30 with a potluck to follow. You can check our website (shown at the bottom of this newsletter) for directions and you can check the calendar on the website for beginning service times and upcoming events. You can also check the last page of this newsletter for telephone contact numbers.
MMCG will not be sponsoring a Feast of Tabernacles site this year. We will be joining with United Christian Ministries, they are sponsoring two Feast sites – one in Sevierville, Tennessee and one at Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri. We have included the following information about their Feast sites.
MMCG Board Members have decided to have a day of prayer and fasting, concerning the problems of our nation. On May 16th MMCG Board Members will be fasting and praying and invite all to join them. Also remember the National Day of Prayer on May 7th. Csh **************************
